Pippa Middleton is set to marry Financier James Matthews at an intimate affair in the British countryside on May 20th 2017. According to E! News, Pippa has been following the ‘Sirtfood diet’ which is a diet that focuses on eating 20 key foods that speed up your metabolism and the body’s ability to burn excess fat.
Key foods include: Cocoa, Coffee, Kale, Strawberries, Walnuts, citrus fruits, salmon, blueberries and even red wine (Yes, Wine!). The diet works on a weekly basis, and the premise is that all meals should be rich in these ingredients, all which contain high levels of the protein sirtuin. The Sirtfood diet involves capping calorie intake to 1000 per day (for the first three days of the week) whilst also drinking 2-3 green juices. This is then increased to 1,500 for the remainder of the week with juices being reduced.
Having always lived a healthy lifestyle and with a keen interest in fitness and sports, Pippa even climbed the Swiss Alps last spring for Charity. However, according to E! News, Pippa has upped her pre-wedding workouts, having been spotted regularly taking classes at the KX gym, Chelsea, in a bid to tone-up before the big day at the end of May.
Although chocolate and red wine sound good to us- Pippa’s diet has come under scrutiny by food and nutrition experts for being ‘unsafe’ in limiting her calorie intake to fewer than 1,200. Nonetheless, it certainly must be working for Pippa, having been spotted glowing and looking better than ever.
