Pandora apologise to bride after shop assistant shamed her husband’s choice of engagement ring.
Pandora have issued a statement of regret after newlywed Ariel McRae’s Facebook post highlighting her experience in their store goes viral.
Ariel met her now husband Quinn Mcrae two years ago online. The couple fell in love quickly and wanted to get married from their three month dating anniversary.
Being a full time student and by Ariel’s own admission, ‘scraping to pay the bills’ meant the couple couldn’t fulfill their dream of tying the knot.
However, after waiting for two years the couple decided they couldn’t wait anymore and Quinn saved up $130 to purchase Ariel an engagement and wedding ring from Pandora’s sterling silver and cubic zirconia range. Bargain, right?
In a post on Facebook, that since went viral, Ariel revealed what happened when the happy couple went to purchase Ariel’s forever rings from the popular high street brand.
While we were purchasing my rings however, another lady who was working there came over to help the lady selling them to us. She said, “Y’all can you believe that some men get these an engagement rings? How pathetic.”
When she said that I watched my now husband’s face fall. He already felt bad because he couldn’t afford the pear-shaped set that so obviously had my heart and covered my Pinterest page.
The twosome tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on their two year dating anniversary November 18 2016 with the Pandora ring set.
The Facebook post has since gone viral with over 76 thousand likes and 56 thousand shares.
A spokes person for Pandora has said,
There experience is not in keeping with our brand values and or what we expect from those who sell our products.
The jewellery brand has since apologised to Ariel and she has accepted.
Here I am…Court House married, $130 ring set, the love of my life by my side and happier than I could ever imagine.
