As New York Bridal Week Fall 2106 draws to a close, we bring you some of our favourite designer wedding dresses
The king of sexy sophisticated bridal wear surprised with a collection that combined the labels signature sexy look with one of whimsical romance.
Dresses featured embellished illusion fabric, layering, beading, embellishment and cut-away panels that revealed glimpses of skin.
This wedding dress collection wowed us with its staggering attention to detail and beautiful use of materials.
Embroidered tulle, pleating, fringing and laser cut fabrics all caught our attention.
We also loved the OTT use of colour and the metallic of the moment – gold.
The Queen of romance, Monique Lhuillier delivered another achingly romantic collection that made us swoon.
Elegant and at times ethereal, the dresses featured a range of necklines – ranging from the classic sweetheart to the dramatic plunge.
Illusion fabric, applique lace, and lots of sparkling details made this a real stand out collection.
Other trends of note were the feathered fringing, use of over skirts and layering and of course – big skirts.
Once we got over the shock of seeing the models walk down the aisle wearing diamante head phones and holding white wedding selfie sticks, we started to pay attention to the gowns.
There was lots of lace, plenty of peek-a-boo panelling and a rich and luxurious assortment of fabrics.
This no-fuss wedding dress collection showed that simple can be sophisticated and sexy, provided you use an eye-catching material.
Pronovias made their first ever appearance in New York, following up their hugely successful Barcelona show with a small, capsule collection of the 2106 range.
