Married in Chelsea
There has been a wave of proposals and marriages hitting the marbled streets of Chelsea.
We take a look at how brides can pull off a Chelsea wedding themselves.
Glamorous Chelsea Socialites are starting to go old school when it comes to their wedding venues, opting for old country estates and family manors to host their raucous celebrations.
Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor wed at Whithurst Park, the Sussex country estate owned by Hugo’s uncle, back in June. Spencer Matthews celebrated his wedding to Irish TV Presenter Vogue Williams at his stunning family estate Glen Affric in Cannich, Scotland. Meanwhile Spencer’s brother James married Pippa Middleton on the Middleton’s 18 acre grounds of Bucklebury Manor.
For those of us who don’t have the family manor or estate, why not rent out a palace.
Kensington Palace to be exact!
Located within tranquil Kensington Gardens, the palace’s inspiring and romantic wedding venues are some of the most beautiful in London.
There are a number of wonderful spaces inside the palace, with their graceful architecture and flamboyant interiors, from the distinctive Cupola Room to the beautiful Entrance Hall.
The Palace’s beautiful and lush gardens can themselves accommodate outside receptions, whether on a grand scale on the Orangery lawn, or for a more intimate gathering in the Sunken Garden.
With its rich history and unparalleled grandeur, Kensington Palace’s timeless elegance is the perfect place to royally celebrate this your special day.
Barker Evans was the coveted photographer for Millie and Hugo’s wedding. He has also shot the wedding of Storm and Ronan Keating. He is a much loved destination, party and wedding photographer, with a keen eye for detail, he captures the true love each couple displays on their big day perfectly.

We can’t guarantee the weather in this country, so a new trend set for 2019 sees the outside coming in. Runners of greenery on tables and garlands draped from the beams. Taking note from Kate and Meghan, potted cherry blossom trees, floral arches and hanging baskets as table centres will also be huge this season.
Take a look at what Early Flowers Ltd created for Millie and Hugo, incredible floral displays, including the floral balloon arch, were crafted by the London-based florist known for their creative installations.
This back drop framed the beautiful spot where they shared their vows, and looks absolutely stunning, it’s bound to smell delicious too.
Joseph Benjamin Marquees created the glass marquee space for dinner and dancing; the couple wanted it to have a day-to-night feel.
A Chelsea wedding should be all about wealth and luxury, the canapes should be inventive, cocktails dangerous, and the evening meal to die for.
The Chelsea cast know how to throw one hell of a dinner party, they regularly call on Rose Lloyd Owen and her team at Peardrop London and Fare Healthy to cater for their events. Their clientele list is huge and they’re mix of menu style and flavours will leave every guests asking for more.
One thing is for sure, to complete the ultimate Chelsea look, a bride must wear a dress by a British designer. Two designers that are set to transform British bridal style are Halfpenny London and Savannah Miller.
The brainchild of Kate Halfpenny, this bridal wear brand fuses Brit cool with sophistication. Designed with the modern-day bride in mind, Kate’s gowns are brought to life in her London studio where intricate beading, exquisite embroidery, lavish French lace, and liquid silks are used to create her signature looks. Celebrating the female form with bold and beautiful fashion statements, Kate’s star-studded clientele is testament to her vivid and vibrant vision.
Sister to Sienna Miller, Savannah is taking the bridal world by storm with her bohemian-inspired ethereal designs. Drawing upon her love of vintage styling and the wild English countryside, her gowns are made in sumptuously rich and textured fabric, paired with simple, flattering lines and elegant silhouettes.
The little details such as decor for the tables, place settings and guest favors. Your guests will notice these as they sit and enjoy their meal.
Miniature bottles of Champagne can be given to each guests as they toast to the happy couple. Or similarly the gift of a signature fragrance will really add a touch of class to your day.
