Love Island Couples That Truly Found Love on the Island

What do we do each night at 9pm now there is no more love island to watch?

Love Island fans have been glued to their screens since the ITV2 show launched in 2015.

A record-breaking 3.6 million people watched Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham become the nation’s favourite couple, and win the £50,000 cash prize.

Now that’s it’s all over, we’re all craving more. How is everyone going to cope with this much colder climate, and the temptations the outside world has to offer.

Does this popular dating show really work, or is it just an excuse for a free holiday?

Here’s a look at previous islanders that were successful in finding love and are still going strong!

2016 Winners Cara Delahoyde & Nathan Massey

The former Love Island champions, who have son Freddie-George together, returned to the Spanish villa they stayed in 2016 when Nathan, 27, proposed to his future wife Cara with a very impressive diamond ring in July 2018.

They fell for each other on the first day in the villa, and now they have an adorable family together.

2016 Runners-Up Olivia Buckland & Alex Bowen

Alex Bowen popped the question to his Love Island beau Olivia Buckland in early 2017, and they look more in love than ever.

Olivia recently celebrated her hen party with her celebrity friends and family in Mykonos.

Olivia and Alex are set to tie the knot this August, and we can’t wait to see what fellow islanders will be invited.

This whirlwind romance led to Dom proposing to Jess just three months after first meeting her on the island of love.

They were the first couple to be booted from the villa, but that hasn’t stopped Jess and Dom from embarking on a relationship together.

To prove their love, the pair stripped down to their swimwear to get ‘married’ by Richard Arnold on Good Morning Britain.

Thankfully, it wasn’t legally binding, but the pair are planning their own nuptials.

2017 Runners Up Camilla Thurlow & Jamie Jewett

Defying the odds, Camilla and Jamie survived the show intact.

These days, the couple are still together and spend much of their time using their fame to promote charitable causes.

There was something so sweet and genuine about this young pair, and it seems to be working.

Can Dani and Jack’s summer romance survive in the outside world? We can’t wait to see!
