Tara O’Farrell’s wedding

Celebrity model and make-up artist Tara O’Farrell’s wedding was the stuff dreams are made of and she reveals exactly how she did it.

Irish celeb Tara O’Farrell tied the knot to long term boyfriend Daniel Anderson in August and after being inundated with questions about her big day, the down to earth star has shared all the juicy details with her blog followers.

Dress

Miraculously, Tara’s perfect gown was the first wedding dress she tried on in the first bridal shop she visited. It was from Folkster in Kilkenny and the bride-to-be was in and out in around 20 minutes!

Venue

The venue was Carlton House in Kildare. Tara had worked with the on-site wedding co-ordinator Fionnuala before and had found her to be extremely professional and willing to go the extra mile, which was a real selling point of the venue. Tara advises to, “choose somewhere you feel at ease,” when selecting your wedding venue.

Bridesmaids

Tara chose a dove grey draped gown with art deco detailing for her lucky bridesmaids which she purchased from ASOS. Again, she described the process as being easy saying,

Once I knew the colour I literally searched grey dresses on ASOS and hundreds came up.

For the flower girls Tara hit up high street favourite Monsoon.

Cake

For her cake, Tara used the Cake Cuppery after being recommended by friends. The inspiration for the cake came from Tara’s dress, the bridesmaid dresses and the flowers. Due to having a sweet tooth, Tara opted for cake pops and cupcakes as well as the chocolate biscuit flavoured cake.

Decoration

Tara recommends having a photo booth as it went down a storm with all of her guests. Guests could take home their photographs but could also add them to a photo album with a sweet message for Tara and Daniel to keep forever. Candy Q’s supplied the photobooth as well as LOVE lights and a striking Ferrero Roche stand.

Speaking about her wedding overall, Tara says the biggest piece of advice she can offer any bride is,

to remember what it is really all about as I think some people can lose sight of this. Your wedding isn’t about the dress and the venue it’s about celebrating your love with the most important people in your life.
