Victoria Beckham’s wedding gift to Geri Halliwell was out of this world! We wish she’d RSVP’d no to our weddings…
When Spice Girl Geri Halliwell got married to Formula 1 boss Christian Horner in Woburn, Bedfordshire only one of her former bandmates was in attendance. Mel B, whose daughter was supposed to be a flower girl reportedly pulled out at the last minute, and Victoria Beckham regrettably couldn’t make the ceremony due to showcasing her collection at Singapore Fashion Week.
VB tweeted a series of pictures of the girls in their heyday with the message:
‘Sending u love and happiness. I’m so sad I couldn’t be with you on your special day. X I love you X.’
She also reportedly sent Geri a huge bunch of flowers and a designer dress for her honeymoon as a sorry gift! We wish Victoria Beckham would RSVP no to our weddings!
Also not in there to celebrate with the happy couple were the groom’s parents, who refused to be present due to their upset that Christian had left his first wife of fourteen years just months after she gave birth to their first child.
Although we’re sure Geri was saddened by the non-attendances, the absentees didn’t put a dampener on the day and the bride looked radiant in a demure and elegant creation designed by Phillipa Lepley.
The high-necked gown echoed similarities to the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress with lace sleeves and a long train. The beautiful bride chose to pair the dress with a full length cathedral veil and a pretty bouquet of pink and white roses.
The star was accompanied by her eight year old daughter who wore a fashionable white bridesmaid dress with a flower crown of gypsophila (baby’s breath) and carried a neat little posy of the same flower.
A bouquet made up of only Gypsophila is really popular for spring and summer weddings as it is super cheap to buy and is positively whimsical!
Emma Bunton, the only former Spice Girl to attend looked stunning in an above the knee cream dress which she teamed with a black coat and elaborate heart and arrow headpiece. Later in the evening she shared a photo to Twitter of her long term fiancé holding the bride’s bouquet. She captioned it;
‘Jade caught the bouquet!! Uh Oh!’
Hmmm we think it’s time for the next Spice Girl wedding!
