The Fashion Blogger’s Wedding Dress You HAVE to See!

San Francisco based blogger Rumi Neely’s untraditional bridal style

If you’re part of the ‘fash-pack’ and up to speed with the world of fashion blogging, then you’ll be familiar with Californian blogger and designer to the stars, Rumi Neely.

The successful fashion blogger is also the founder and creative director of her own clothing line ‘Are You Am I’, a celeb-favoured line worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin and Rosie Huntington-Whitely.

With her successful fashion empire, and over 700k Instagram followers, it’s no surprise that Rumi has started a brand new bridal trend – sheer! The fashionista tied the knot to photographer Christopher Dowson in a ceremony at San Yisdro Ranch in Santa Barbara earlier this month, where she wowed in a series of white gowns and outfits.

Most perfect for me ✨✨✨ August 10 2017 was the best day of my life @christopherdowson

Although it’s not a look every bride would look for on her big day, there’s no doubt that Rumi looked amazing in her flowing white bridal dress with sheer panelling and thigh-high slit! Featuring an off-the-shoulder style and with her hair kept in lose tousled waves, it was the ultimate LA ‘It girl’ wedding gown. Whilst the designer of the dress is unknown, many followers commented under the Instagram snaps asking if the dress was designed by Vera Wang.

In a series of other Instagram snaps, the blogger posed for several photo shoots in bridal white ensembles in the run-up to the big day and after. Flashing the flesh and keeping the ‘sheer’ theme in mind, Rumi even donned a white bridal bikini for lounging as a newlywed, and a white sheer barely-there ruffled playsuit! Could this sheer trend be something more brides-to-be will go for?

Whether you’re a fan of this sheer trend or not, one thing’s for sure, Rumi knows a thing or two about taking the perfect photo!  Speaking to an American publication, she says good lighting is key to the best Instagram pictures “test a small area out for shade, direct sun or backlighting to quickly see what looks best. One will always look a million times better than the others” – all you budding bloggers, take note!
