Looking every inch the dream in cream, Emma Roberts played the dotting bridesmaid as she watched her close friend tie the knot over the weekend.
Fashion designer Kara Smith, one half of the Elkin label, tied the knot with photographer Nick Walker in California last Sunday, and the gorgeous wedding was anyone’s dream do. Featuring bridesmaids in cream, natural white flowers and shimmers of gold, the ceremony was a classy affair set in the warm American outdoors.
Emma’s bridesmaid dress featured a deep V-neck decorated with lace and a glittering waist belt to add a bit of sparkle. Her bobbed blonde hair fell in loose waves, complementing her soft makeup which completed the look. Other bridesmaids on the day chose alternative necklines and cuts for their dresses giving the group a relaxed, yet uniform, feel and their hair was each done in a varying style- from dramatic top-buns to carefully-controlled beach waves.
The bride herself looked radiant in a three tiered, ruffled chiffon wedding dress and floor-length veil designed by Houghton NYC. Her rustic bouquet of green and white flowers was the perfect addition to the glamourous bohemian look- a rare combination which worked so well for this sophisticated wedding.
Meanwhile the reception marquee carried on the rustic theme by incorporating communal style seating with the ‘great outdoors meets indoors’. Wild floral centrepieces dotted the tables as well as vines and fairylights which draped from the ceiling. With mood-setting candlelight and soft colourings, the room was a beautiful finale to the big day.
This beautiful wedding would look right at home in the Irish countryside during the summer months!
